I have had the Regen light "Flash" many times over the years (I have 68K on it) after a long stint in slow traffic. I had a trip planned and about 15 miles into it.REGEN.Downshifted and it stayed on for about 30 miles. My last one flashed several times and would stay on. We have talked and my own "layman's observations" is that if you get a "Regularly Scheduled" regen light.and are or have been driving around in stopped or slow traffic, you will need to keep driving, maybe downshifting to 5th to keep the RPM up. Frank scanned mine for me several years ago and the Regens were like clockwork. I have the same engine as you and Frank, except mine does not have the "Jake Brake" hardware in the Head.doesn't matter.SAME. The system was designed to do an AUTO Regen based on Engine Hours (100 I THINK). ![]() Other trouble codes need to be checked.įrank, as usual, is spot on. Also, you should use large fans to cool the fiberglass around the DPF during a stationary Regen. You would need the Cummins Insite software to do a stationary Regen. ![]()
